Welcome to the Kitcheneers Experience!
At Alliance in Partnership, we believe that delicious, nutritious meals are a powerful part of learning. Designed in collaboration with pupils and teachers, and enhanced by our development chefs, our menus reflect diverse food preferences and create a welcoming dining experience for both pupils and staff.
Kitcheneers is at the heart of this vision—moving away from one-size-fits-all, overly processed school food, and embracing fresh, flexible, inspiring meals made simply and well.
What Makes Our Menu Special
· 80% freshly prepared daily with seasonal, local ingredients
· British Red Tractor meat, sourced from our trusted local butcher
· Free-range pork, MSC-certified fish, and ProVeg Bronze accreditation for ethical, planet-friendly sourcing
· Healthier desserts containing fruit and whole grains such as wholemeal flour or oats
Healthier Takes on Beloved Classics
We believe that popular dishes don’t have to compromise on health:
· Wholemeal pizzas with our homemade tomato sauce, enriched with vegetables and lentils
· Oven-baked favourites. We do not use air-fryers in our kitchens
· Fresh herb-infused bread, baked daily with wholemeal flour
· Reduced salt and sugar recipes, with homemade sauces to manage seasoning and sweetness
· Vegan-first options, offering plant-rich alternatives that broaden choice and inclusion
Beyond the Menu
We enrich school life with food experiences that go far beyond the dining hall. From exciting theme days that celebrate diverse cultural cuisines to hands-on workshops exploring nutrition, healthy eating, and sustainable cooking, we create opportunities for pupils to connect with food in new and meaningful ways. Our Chefs in the Classroom sessions (smoothie making, French crĂŞpes with a twist, and Mastering Uni Life), bring culinary skills directly into the classroom. These interactive events spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage pupils to develop healthy, sustainable habits that last well beyond school.
Bright, Balanced, and Sustainable
Our commitment to freshness and sustainability is at the heart of every menu. Fresh vegetables are served daily. We promote vegetable-led dishes through clever menu design, a commitment recognised by our ProVeg Bronze accreditation. Through our partnership with Wasteknot, we make use of surplus “wonky” vegetables on taster days, helping pupils discover new flavours while reducing waste. Our rotating salad bars offer variety, always featuring core favourites like cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and sweetcorn, complemented by seasonal additions such as carrots or beetroot to keep things fresh and exciting.
Building on AiP’s Proven Track Record
This approach builds on Alliance in Partnership’s reputation for excellence in secondary school catering. We ensure allergen safety and transparency, with allergen-free options and rigorous preparation practices to keep pupils safe. Guided by expert nutritionists, our nutrition-led innovation goes beyond government food standards to promote lifelong healthy eating habits. We also drive sustainability at scale, with our ambitious net-zero target by 2045. Alongside this, we deliver added value and social impact through interactive workshops, theme days, and inclusive dining environments that encourage positive attitudes towards food and mealtimes.
